The team behind Boys and Collins Financial Group is made up of qualified financial professionals who are passionate about helping individuals and families achieve their ideal retirements.
James Boys
Partner, Co-Founder & Investment Adviser Representative
Always willing to challenge conventional wisdom in his approach to investing and preserving wealth, Jim enjoys helping clients work toward their retirement dreams through a well-thought-out financial strategy for retirement.
He got his start in the insurance industry in 1976 and opened his own financial services firm in 1986, serving clients in central Indiana. He appreciates the opportunity to provide useful, personalized service to clients in a one-on-one setting.
Jim has passed the Series 63 and Series 65 securities licenses in 2003 and 1999, respectively, and holds licenses in life, health and long-term care insurance in Indiana. Registered as an Investment Adviser Representative, Jim studied business administration at Bob Jones University.
Jim lives in Martinsville, Indiana, with his wife, Barb, a retired elementary teacher. They have two adult daughters, 10 grandchildren and a young Doberman named Morpheus.
In his free time, Jim enjoys serving as a church elder/teacher and in his Rotary Club. He also likes target practice and yard work.
Dallas Collins
Partner, Co-Founder & Registered Representative
Dallas believes it’s never too late to implement a retirement strategy to work toward your long-term goals.
He began his career with a large Fortune 500 company in 2011, working his way up to a senior management role. There, Dallas found it rewarding to mentor his team members and managers, which helped them to advance in their careers and ultimately led to a better life for them and their families. In 2016, Dallas partnered with Jim Boys to form Boys and Collins Financial Group.
“I feel so blessed I get to do what I love every day,” Dallas says, “helping individuals, families and business owners pursue their financial goals so they can live out their hopes and dreams for them and their families.”
Dallas is an Registered Representative and Insurance Professional. He has passed the Series 6 and 63 securities exams and holds licenses in life, health and long-term care insurance as well as annuities. He graduated with a theology degree from Indiana Bible College and a business administration degree from Indiana University.
Dallas has two daughters, Kate and Nora, who are the joy of his life. Away from the office, Dallas enjoys spending time with his family and extended family. He volunteers at his church and on the board of directors with the League of Miracles, an organization that provides sports facilities and opportunities to children and adults with special needs. In addition, Dallas serves on the board for Stability First, where he assists low-income families in increasing their financial stability.
Katie Cipriano
Client Relations
Katie is a graduate of West Coast Baptist College in Lancaster, CA, where she majored in office administration and minored in graphic design. She excels at organization and planning and loves to work on jobs that allow her to dive deep into the details and identify ways to streamline the process.
Katie married her husband, David, in July 2020 and moved from Pennsylvania to Indiana one month later. Together, they love serving Christ by volunteering and leading the youth ministry at Good Shepherd Baptist Church. Katie also enjoys staying active by going to the gym, playing and coaching volleyball, and taking walks with her husband.
Betsy Baughman
Client Relations
Betsy is a graduate of Indiana University, where she majored in education. Her years of experience teaching have provided her with organizational skills to help her as she manages multiple calendars, meetings, and tasks. Her outgoing personality and caring heart help make everyone feel welcome when they come to the office.
Betsy and her husband, Phil, will celebrate their 29th wedding anniversary this summer. They have five children: Braden, Chloe, Brett, Phoebe, and Leah. Braden and his wife Leah had their first child this fall, Betsy’s first grandchild. Chloe and Phoebe are both pursuing degrees in education. Brett is engaged to Lindsay and is busy planning his wedding this coming fall. Leah is Betsy’s baby but is already finishing up her senior year of high school. Betsy enjoys reading, watching Hallmark movies, snuggling her grandbaby, and spending quality time with her family.
